Out of the two six flags's in Texas, which has better rides or is more fun?'

Also, is there any cheap way of getting in, (coke cans?)

It all depends on what you like.

SFOT has some great rides and is probably better in that department. The TX Giant (although pretty rough now) was the top rated wooden roller coaster for years. There's also Titan which is an awesome steel coaster with some "float" time in it. Also, Batman (an inverted coaster), Mr. freeze (a launch style coaster), as well as Mine train (one of the better mine train rides, especially in the back).

For shows, SF Fiesta TX is one of the best in the world. Their Rockville High show consistently gets rave reviews and the park is consistently rated a top park for shows in the world! At night, they have a laser light show on the canyon wall (since they're next to a canyon). Rattler and Superman are my favorite of the coasters there.

Soo, your choice Both good parks and if you can do both, buy a season pass! Now if you live more than 300 miles away, there's an "out of market" season pass you can buy for less than the price of a one day admission to SFOT. Do that!

If not, just call the marketing dept at 817-640-8900 and ask what the current promos are. They'll tell you if the coke can's the best deal or if there's a better deal going on.

Good luck. Have fun!

The one in Arlington is the original Six Flags park and offers more in the rides department; Fiesta Texas in San Antonio is still a fairly new park at 15 years old, but is known nationwide among enthusiasts as having the best shows out there (the laser light show projected on the cliffside = AWESOME.) So if you're more into rides, Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington is the choice for you. Most of Fiesta's best shows won't start until May anyhow, but if you can make it to that park in the summer, the shows are totally worth it.

I know admission specials are run with the Coke cans for the Arlington park, which means they're most likely done for Fiesta too, and the admission specials differ depending on the time of year, but they last for months at a time and come out with new ones for each part of the season.
