Is it more important to declare war as much as you can, on as many nations as you can, or to try to resolve conflict?

sgreger: The Nazis never invaded this country. We were involved in WWII as allies of other nations, not on our own behalf. We were asked to help. WWII has nothing to do with the war in Iraq. They're entirely dissimilar.

mbush: War is NOT always a "means of resolving conflict." War is punishment. Why did we invade Afghanistan after 9/11? To resolve a conflict? NO. We invaded to punish them for harboring terrorists.

War is the last resort and is th failure of the political and professional diplomats. Sometimes your opponent will not see any view but his own and when that includes violence to get it then war is inevitable.

Terrorists declared war on us first. It is the responsibility of our government to force nations to pick sides. You are either against the use of terror or you are our enemy. It is black or white and their is no need to even consider a middle ground.

Liberals want to try and talk their way out of everything. If someone is determined to kill you the only way to stop them is to kill them first. Plane and simple.

Any nation that refuses to renounce the use of terror is an enemy of the United States. Period.

People who are concerned about the safety and the diplomacy of the world would most certainly seek diplomatic means of addressing an issue, before military invasion. However, war is good business. It makes money. For people such as many who are currently in our government, that is what really matters to them.

If there is aconflict, and it escalates, than war is necessary. I defy you to state 1 country in contemporary times which has constantly started wars when there was no conflict brewing. We have used diplomacy when it works, hence the cold war, but when the nazis invade we hit the beaches. When islamonazis attack, we hit back and dont loosen up untill they surrender.

uhhmmm... in my opinion, the more you declare war, the more the people hate you because of your agressiveness... and you woudn't want that, do you? Of course, you want to show to the world that you are very nice and all you want is peace, so you would resolve conflicts by talking. Politics is a dog and pony show (in my opinion).

well not realy, you do not show weakness and never back down. get allies and when you are attacked you attack back. dont go picing on contrys but send mucho aid and help and wait for war. remeber to gain allies and to send aid to contrys not as fortunate as you. in times of peace prepare for times f war.
