I want to sell on ebay- but the way I understand it you can only use the money you make as credits on paypal unless you transfer it to your bank account but I really dont want to give out my bank information and connect it to paypal - is there any other way to credit it to your credit card or something where I can use it other than just online?

Well, you can not use Paypal as an option for payment.
Use Money Orders instead.
I buy and sell on eBay, and have a PayPal account, and it is alot easier, and they are very secure. Buyers make a payment to your PayPal account and then you transfer to your bank account.
But like I said, you can always use Money Orders.

When you receive a payment on Paypal, the money can be withdrawn immediately on your Paypal debit card. Why don't you open a separate bank account just for Paypal alone, so there's no worries. I've been using Paypal for 7 years and have not ever had one problem.
The only other way is to accept money orders.

You can choose to only accept Money Orders or Personal Checks instead of PayPal. You will limit the number of potential customers you will attract, but you won't have to tie up your funds with PayPal (or pay their exorbitant fees). Keep in mind that there are MANY buyers who will not purchase from a seller on eBay who will not accept a credit card (like me). eBay does not police sellers and buyers, so if I buy something on eBay and when it arrives, if it is not as described, then I have the option of doing a chargeback with my credit card as a last resort.
In summary, you can choose to reduce your expense and risk by not accepting PayPal, but just realize that you will limit your audience of buyers by doing so.
I strongly suggest you visit the eBay community for new buyers/sellers, BEFORE starting to sell on eBay.. It's become a haven for scammers - and you don't want to take more risks than absolutely necessary.

No. Paypal will insist you give them bank account information. Go to your bank and open a second account....something simple like a cheap checking account. Keep nothing more than $20 or so in it. Use this account for your paypal.

PayPal is safest. You can have the buyer send a check, if you live dangerously.
