Except for 6, 8 and 10.

#6 There are Christian liberals and athiest Conservatives. Difference is that even Christian liberals aren't prepared to toss the First Amendment aside in order to have their religioius beliefs enshrined in law.

#8 Republicans are all for illegal immigration while at the same time being totally against illegal immigrants.

#10 I think both true Democrats and true Republicans have pride in America

nope sorry.. not at all.. some may fall into those categories.. on some issues and others in none at all.... I am a liberal democrat who is

1. limited gun control (I just don't think people need a howitzer on their jeep)

2. for welfare with reform to include more accountability

3. I think the government needs to get out of the religious ceremony of marriage all together.. only civil unions.. that all people could get.. would get the tax breaks.

4. pro-military.. but approach it realistically that we spend more than enough money on it at this time.. we just need to streamline how we spend that money (that is similar to my view on welfare, education and many other government programs)

5. pro choice but I believe in removing the need for abortions.. set up programs to educate and help mothers so that money, healthcare and fear will never cause them to decide to have an abortion.

6. I'm pro all religion.. not anti any.

7 I live in the south.. need I say more?

8. It's illegal.. there's no debate about that.. illegal is.. well.. illegal. I like Obama's stance on this one.

9. I think our entire system needs revamped.. but yes.. I do not support the death penalty.. I do support playing psychology with those guys though.. you can learn a lot about the nature of crime when you prod into a criminals mind :)

10 I love my country :)

On the Liberal Democrat side #s 4,6,7,8 and 10 are not my opinion. And I still believe I am liberal.
#1 agree - To much violence due to illegal weapons
#2 agree - There needs to be some reform
#3 agree - Sure, why not?
#4 disagree- The military serves an important purpose -to protect this land and it's citizens.
#5 agree
#6 diagree- I am not pro or anti any religion
#7 disagree - I like venison
#8 disagree - I am for "legal" immigration
#9 agree - I do not believe the government should be legally allowed to kill citizens
#10 agree and disagree - There are many things that make me proud to be an American, Bush and his war is not one of them.

You're basically right about the first one. You're oversimplifying things considerably (what a shocker) with your second bit of "information". You're right about the third one. Number 4 is BS, 5 is basically accurate, 6 is too stupid for words, 7 is inaccurate, 8 gives 6 a serious run for the money in terms of sheer stupidity, 9 is inaccurate (although I personally am against "capitol" [sic] punishment), and 10 is easily the stupidest item on your little list. Overall, I'd say no, you don't "have this information correct". Better luck next time.

lsuballs ... One THOUSAND points for you, sir. If you were a girl, I'd kiss you. Your "question" is one of the first intelligently written things I've seen in the Politics category today.

Thank you and good day, sir!

Addition to original answer:
You know, I listen to several radio and TV political analysis broadcasts. Some are serious, some are not. Some make sense, while others only stir things up and polarize the listeners/viewers. I'm not even going to mention any of the shows/hosts ... You already know what I'm talking about.

However, out of all the things I've seen and heard over the years, although I know I'll be flamed for saying so, I get the very clear impression that the "Dems" have become the party of give-aways ... and many (not all) of their supporters are the "Give me, Give me" types.

I thought John Kennedy had said,
"...Ask what you can do for your country."

But for most of the past four decades, many (again, not all) Dems have been behaving as if he had said,
"Get all you CAN from your country."

This might be the basis for a good politics category question. I just wanted to add this observation as a comment. Posing it as an actual question would get it more attention than it deserves, though. I don't want to be labeled as an Answer flame thrower or troublemaker, though.

I try to ask serious questions and offer only intelligent answers (99% of the time), but gosh, darn ... Some of the things I see here seem to have been written by people with a single-digit IQ. And it's the utterly stupid, offensive, and ridiculous statements that provoke me to answer poorly for the other 1% of the time.

So, where do I stand? Let me help you to understand:
God in school — better than condoms.
Strong defense — better than isolationism/appeasement.
Less government — better than more government.
Guns for the people — better than surrendering to the thugs.
Criticize elected leaders — better than calling them names.
Preserve/respect your freedoms — better than abusing them.

Are you getting the picture?

Nope.
Your choice of language indicates you are probably not open to debate on your question.
However, I must say that there are people that are liberal and democrat and have pride in America.
As an independent (one that sees flaws and strengths in both parties) I find this kind of discourse to be disappointing but common.
Now I shall wait for the many thumbs down that will come. :)

You are off on #8 and #10
#8 liberals are for immigration with limits and legally ---conservatives still want the ability to avoid paying taxes and minimum wage to them . So illegal is better for them or just making it possible for millions to cross over keeping the wages low across the board .
#10 Liberals Under stand the constitution and love what it stands for .
Conservatives well it just gets in the way all the time and keeps us from doing as we please .

You did real good on all the rest though .
