i have a huge nose and i am ugly and everyone makes fun of me. what should I do?

i'm sure u are not ugly! ur just putting urself down. when people make fun of u, they're just trying to find a sense of power because they no u will not fight back, so surprise them, nobody's perfect, i bet u can find something wrong with them, and smack that mean comment right back at them.

I have a big nose with an odd shape at the bridge (it kind of dips down like a ski jump :) and a small chin, which makes my nose look even worse. Ppl used to make fun of me when I was in grade school. When I was older, I was really insecure about it, and spent hours looking in the mirror and crying about it til I felt sick. I thought I was terrible.

I have "recovered" ;) and have learned to accept my body as is. I don't want nose surgery, and I think I look nice. Ppl have told me I am really pretty, and that's something that I would never have thought possible. My husband thinks I'm beautiful and I was really skeptical at first- I mean, he's SUPPOSED to say that kind of stuff, but it didn't mean he thought it, right? But he really does, and he loves who I am and how I look. Even my nose.

The MAIN thing here, and I really believe this, is that you have to learn to love yourself. If you have low self-esteem, it drags your appearance down. Act like you think you're beautiful, and ppl will believe it. Sound funny? It's so true! They may not see a drop-dead gorgeous woman, but they will see a brilliant smile, more appealing than anything, and all your other good features! Inward beauty is lasting and unfading, and that's what ppl will remember about you long after you've left.

Another thing to remember is that if you pull your body parts out and look at them individually, they may not look that great. But when you put them all together to create a 'face' it looks beautiful.

Try focusing on other things. Like, I find my nose looks less prominent if I wear eyeliner and neutral but bold coloured eye-shadow. Lipstick helps a lot too. It's amazing what makeup will do!

Remember, you are a unique and beautiful individual.

you know what my mom always says?

she says that people with sharp noses are probably the most beautiful people in the world : ) regular small celebrity noses have no distinctive feature..no originality. a nose can really tell you a lot about that person, so why get a fake one right?

im sure you're GORGEOUS sweetheart! never let people bring you down. people are stupid and don't know what the heck they're talking about. i know that these days looks are what let you survive in the world. but let me tell you something...you forget about how you look and just have fun! study, get good grades, go to college and one day all these people will be working for YOU..and you can fire them :) haha just kidding.

obviously everyone has different opinions..and we can't change how someone else thinks about you. i do know that if you keep thinking about your looks..it'll make you more sad. focus on the positive parts of your life and remember don't you let ANYONE bring you down!

Please don't be so hard on yourself. Looks are constantly changing through out our lives. People who make fun of you or call you names are to be pitied. They are pointing out their own insecurities and need to lablel others. What they call you is not what you are. Try smiling at them and saying 'Thanks, that's just the look I was going for!' or "Good thing I don't give a crap about your opinion, isn't it?' You are special, just the way you are. Your friends like you for more than your nose, and the others don't matter. An ample nose never hurt Barbra Stiesand or Jimmy Durante, just to name 2. Personally, I would rather have a large nose which was unique to me, than look like I was cut from a pattern and look just like all the other girls. Be proud of who you are! Dare to be different!

The word "ugly" is a very strong word and u shouldn't use it so freely about yourself! Having said that, make-up can do wonders in making your nose seem smaller than it actually is. Apply a dark shade (one shade darker than your skin tone) of blusher to the sides of your nose, contouring it to look as small as you want. This will deflect the attention from your nose to other parts of your face. Its hard to explain, so next time you're buying make-up ask the consultant and she/he will explain it to you. Good Luck!

but fo real what else besides the nose do u THINK is not the best looking. because if it is JUST your nose than try playing up your eyes or your lips. to draw attention away from the thing you don't want noticed. u gotta be specific so u can get real helpful advice. the nose thing is your only detail. for that i say either embrace it or try plastic surgery. makeup can also help contoure the look of your nose so it appears smaller. ask a consultant how to go about that. sorry can't be of more help...

I am not trying to sound corney or like a parent, but people who make fun of others have nothing better in their lives to do than to put people down. I should know too, I used to make fun of girls all the time. Then I realized I am jsut lessening myself and I didn't have good self esteem. I think you should ignore them and focus on things you like to do. And keep your friends close they will help you through it and just remember these people who make fun of you are pittiful and hate their own lives.

depending on whether you have nice eyes, lips, or cheekbones try to play up your best feature, that way it detracts attention from your nose. if area skin around your nose is red that's maybe what is making your nose look so big. find a shade of foundation that matchs your skin tone, then apply it on the red area. be confident!

You can't do much about your nose, it will stay that shape, unless you have surgery.

But you can tell these people to butt off, or grow up and buld your self confidence so that their comments don't bug you.
Just ignore them.
