There are two ranking tables for international cricket - one for Test matches and one for One-Day Internationals (ODIs).
The LG ICC Test Championship (as of 2007/01/28):
1 - Australia (135)
2 - England (114)
3 - Pakistan (108)
4 - India (107)
5 - Sri Lanka (102)
6 - South Africa (102)
7 - New Zealand (93)
8 - West Indies (72)
9 - Zimbabwe (28)
10 - Bangladesh (2)

The points system used is a complicated one, but generally speaking a team scores more points for beating a higher ranked nation than a lower ranked one and loses more points for losing to a lower ranked nation than a higher ranked one. The ratings are based on results for the previous three years.
