I was thinking of the film 'Little Miss Sunshine' too - I saw it a few weeks ago.

Not good. It was used negatively by the slave masters towards the slaves. If you say "hello sunshine" to a deep southern black, it would be taken offensive.

A Grateful Dead show I saw, where they did "Here Comes Sunshine" as part of a set and it was- like most Grateful Dead shows- a revelation on how beautiful 20th century music could be.
