Please if you could, use very easy to understand step-by-step instructions.........

Insert the Windows or Recovery CD that came with your PC. Reboot. It should load from the CD and automatically start the Windows install for you. After you do that F8 to agree, you will be prompted whether you want to format the hard drive before installing Windows. Format the drive and let the install run from there....

I'll asume you have windowsXP - first you will need the windows XP disk. Insert disk into CD rom drive, then restart you computer. At some point during the bootup process it will say hit any key to boot from disk, do that. A blue screen will appear and start loading windows junk and eventually come to a new blue window with options, hit the option to install windows, then the option to install a fresh instalation. It will ask you which partition you wish to install to, you want to delete the current partition(follow onscreen instructions) once that is deleted select the now empty partition and it will ask you if you want to format using NTFS or FAT32, pick NTFS and do a full format not the quick(this takes forever but its better in the long run). After what will seem like forever it will eventually boot to windows and you will have a few more questions to answer, these will be easy like whats your name what do you want to name the computer, your product key etc.. after all that, your PC will restart and your ready to install all of your programs and drivers.

Never click OK on a popup. Just hit the X in the top right corner.

You've got SpyWare. You should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

These are cleanup tools. Ad-aware cleans files, and SpyBot cleans the registry.

Good luck and Happy Computing

Hmm, well, reformatting can be a big pain. >< I'd suggest doing a virus scan with AVG free, which you can download it at http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10645435.html,
before reformatting. Also, you may want to use Firefox instead of IE to be a bit safer on the web. ;D Getfirefox.com
