You can count on this pretty well. If you are at the south pole, there is only 1 direction to head from there, north. It does matter which direction you are facing if you want to end up in austrailia, but whatever way you face, you will be going north.

sure, they paintings only super there. The Earth's magnetic field extends from the north pole to the south pole (magnetic poles, no longer geographic) masking the whole planet, and so a compass works everywhere on the earth. the only place a compass does no longer be useful is amazingly on the area of the the two pole, because of fact at that element the compass now no longer factors authentic North in any respect.

North, obviously - all directions from the South Pole are north by definition.

north,,, if you're at the south pole you cannot go any other way. Direction is relative to your position to the pole. You couldn't go east or west without at least moving off of a perfect south position

You are as far south as you can go, so your only choice is to go north. Austrailia is above the south pole, so north, but depending on exactly where you are at you may be going northeast...

There is only one direction from the south pole and that is north. To go to a specific location on the earth you would need a longitude to follow.

You would be traveling north, because the South Pole is the southernmost point in the world, so everywhere is north from there. :)

I would say maybe northest or north, I think that as long as you have the word north in there somewhere it should be ok, because like you said it depends on where you are standing right?
