what steps should i do to lapping my hsf?

i want to lap my hsf, what numberof sand paper should i use, and also, do i sand the ihs? thanks for the help

Hi. There is a pretty cheap kit online that includes a small glass plate and all the grits necessary. I lapped th heatsink on my liquid cooled system and was very pleased with the mirror like finish. I'll try to find a link. Here you go! http://www.3dvelocity.com/reviews/easypckits/lapping.htm
