it could be the steppings on the 3800 are really good and the 4200 steppings are really bad, (steppings tells about the chip , ex, how good it overclocks and stuff)

would not count which one you %.. everybody from ASUS or Gigabyte will do. Gigabyte makes very strong mainstream forums, ASUS makes very strong intense end forums. in the adventure that your funds is low, Gigabyte is your perfect option. if you're no longer an overclocker and are not fussed about overclocking concepts and stability, you do not choose a posh motherboard, only a mainstream one will do. notwithstanding in case you want a motherboard that helps destiny improvements, or in case you ought to ditch that previous, getting older Athlon x2 you're using and improve to a Athlon / Phenom II, you're going to prefer to pass with AM3 motherboards. AM2 is end of existence. you are able to also pass with AM2+, yet I see no reason on the grounds that DDR2 RAM is starting up to grow to be more advantageous expensive than DDR3. AMD also plans to provide up helping AM2+ in the destiny.

Hi. Curious. They can both be obtained at about the same price as seen here : http://www.pricegrabber.com/p__AMD_Athlon_64_X2_3800_Dual_Core_Processor,__20173453/sort_type=priceand here : http://www.pricegrabber.com/p__AMD_Athlon_64_X2_4200_Dual_Core_Processor,__20173454/sort_type=price
One might use a cheaper technology or have a better yield, but just a guess. One may be easier to unlock also. Guys and gals like us LOVE that in a chip!

Buy an Amd 64 x2 4400+. Better than those two listed, plus it's cheap.
