Do any religions/cultures have ghost stories other than European or American?

All cultures have tales of spirits and demons that walk the earth. Chinese stories tell of demons who play tricks on people and ghosts of people who died weird deaths coming back for revenge.

There's also all those Japanese ghost stories which have been made into movies, the ones that are really freaky. Those are actually Japanese stories of spirits, but hollywood makes them even freakier.

Every culture in every part of the world, for as long as there has been someone to tell stories to, have had ghost stories.

That's why telling them around the campfire is so much fun. It's been going on like that for ages and ages!!!!!!!!

There are certainly memories of ghosts or spirits in almost each custom, from the animists of Borneo to the Christians of Rome, from Islam to Judaism, from Orthodox to Baptist. in line with probability the extra appropriate question could be to discover a custom or thought the place ghosts or spirits do not exist. I doubt there is one
