I don't think it is so much that she is disliked as much as it is the Food Network. I used to enjoy watching the food network for it had many different styles of foods and cooking techniques. But like most channels when they hit their goldmine they will use it until it dries out completely no matter what else they lose. And now when I see what is on the food network it is always a Rachael Ray show or some traveling show where a host goes across the country and find unique restaurants. The channel has turned into a Food Travel Channel bastardization. Now with Rachael Ray being one of the bigger goldmines on that station and at the same time having her own hourly show on another. People will tend to get sick of seeing the same person doing the same techniques just different ingredients and foods all the time. Now that does not explain everyone, some people just get jealous because they see the success of another and will automatically hate them, but oh well, that is their insecurity. Personally I think Rachael Ray is great on her hourly show, I only seen it once because it had a guest on there I wanted to see, but what I did see she did a great job with it all. She has guests with great ideas and she has great ideas as well. I can see why she is as big as she is, I just hope the overexposure does not ruin her in later years.

I like Rachael Ray too. She's adorable with loads and loads of energy. She makes cooking look like fun and that's what makes her show different than all the other cooking shows on TV. Plus she really does seem like a down to earth person, so you feel like you already know her. I hope she sticks around for a long time.

Some people dislike Rachael Ray:
Where do I begin? Ah yes, the NON-STOP YELLING! She yells ALL THE TIME when she is talking. Even when she is trying to host an interview on her horrific talk show, she can’t talk at anything below 120 decibels.

I don't dislike Rachel Ray. I only dislike her constant butchering of the English language and I know it's supposed to be part of her appeal however, I feel that if you make a big enough check to be on TV, you should use the proper language. Save the slang for your friends in private.

And I agree with you, she is a hometown girl, with great ideas and a personality to match.
I love her 30 minute meals show but I only watched 2 of her afternoon talk shows and decided it wasn't for me.
30 minutes is more than enough, and it's all about cooking.
Although I would rather watch paint dry than watch that Giada DeLorentis....can't stand her......
As for others I think Rachael Ray is a bit too perky and in your face for their taste.

Yes, she's down to earth, but a little too much. She's not a chef, just a regular cook like we are and I have seen a lot of the recipes she makes and they just looked awful. I tried one recipe once, goulash, and it wasn't anything special. Instead of having a couple of different dishes made in 30 minutes, why not just make one dish that tastes really great? Even my husband doesn't like her cooking. My son went to culinary school and doesn't like her stuff either.

If Rachael Ray is just a "regular cook" like it has been mentioned. she is "laughing all the way to the bank". Besides that, she has Oprah behind her, and we all know that everything Oprah touches, turns to gold.

I thuink is positive, yet I hate her grasping procedures. She looks to desire each and every thing somebody brings to the instruct for loose. She has the money to purchase it and often times could be one element yet she needs it loose continually. additionally she has a concern sharing her limelight with every physique. She has to bounce in and positioned a 2 bit in continually. She is yet another one that has the techniques-set of been there and completed that. omit understand-it- All. Oh yeah and all those sound effects that she does together with her mouth is incredibly stressful and her expectancy of an applause each and every time she mentions any sort of cheese. She is extremely obnoxious and has an stressful voice. yet another one that has enable fulfillment flow to her head.

Personally, I love Rachel. But I can see where she can be a little hard on the nerves--she is uber-cheerful. But I love that she's easy to follow--I don't cook much, so her step-by-step directions are great. With her help, I made a great veal picatta for my parents when they came to visit for dinner.
