You are beyond your thought. If you are your thoughts, then how you can know that the thoughts are changing? To know something that is changing, you should be beyond that.
You may feel good about something, and some time later you may feel bad about the same thing - because your thoughts are changing.
What do you think right now? Just take paper, and list down what do you think right now. You'll go blank.
We are not our body, mind, intellect, memory or ego - because all these things change, but there is something deep with in us that realizes this change.
You are the one who knows that all these things are changing.
You are the self :)

It depends on what you think about. I might agree with you.
If you think about sex a lot, that makes you a sex addict.
If you think about how to help people in need, that makes you a saint.
If you think about stealing all of the time, that makes you a thief...
However, the difference is that you have to follow through with the actions in order to "Become what you think."
Or, do you believe that in simply thinking about the action means that we have already done it in our hearts.
In other words... is there a difference in thinking about telling a lie, and actually telling one?

THAT WOULDN'T BE TRUE
well, i'm quite a depressed person
and usually i think about death, and killing people
this does not make a murder,
or a sadistic person
because i would never actaully do that
you can think whatever u want
you can make ur mind believe you are someone else like madonna or robbie williams,
but obviously we are not
SO NO WE ARE NOT WHAT WE THINK

We are what we DO. Not what we think. You can have the most noble and courageous thoughts, but if we don't ACT accordingly those thoughts don't matter. And we can't ask others to judge us by what we think, or what we would like to be, what's really important is what we do.

in fact u r what u believe.
it doesn,t mean that anything u think it happens but it means the way u think and what u believe put u in a way that follows ur thinks and u will go through the way made of ur thoughts and beliefs.

i assume by you saying "we are" you are referring to identity,
how everyone thinks i believe is completely unique to each individual and to a certain degree to say "to think exactly like another is to be them" is quite true however to "think exactly like another" you must also consider "all" the parameters that act upon how we think most notably "neglected" being that of space and time.

If you were what you thought, then every time you thought something else, you would be a different person. Likewise, it would mean that any time someone else thought just like you then they would BE you. Is this consistant with what you consider to be your identity?
