Because the majority of people are selfish and want to do their own thing also the teaching of morals has declined with liberalism promoting moral decline.

A theory is that its from the war, that all the soldiers who die from WW2 onwards have left lots of fatherless children, majority of children are disciplined by their fathers, and over a course of time the discipline has been eroded away and left room for the 'do their own thing' generation.

There is no attraction to anything of value anymore, you see americans burning their own flag, you see african americans calling themselves niger. You see Irish Americans liking the connection of their family with the IRA, quickjly forgetting their 9/11.

We have become a nation of fewer values than we once had, we call it progress, we call it equality now where Gays can be married, life is an unfair unplace, but through our own meddling to try and make it fair we corrupt it.

Bring back the values and down with the liberalism

I think the verb you want to use is "contributed" - am answering in that sense:
I think the previous generation began to know prosperity, and became quite taken up in seeking and cultivation that prosperity, and many of them neglected to take time with their children, the "boomers".
Also, in the late 60's and early 70's you had the Viet Nam war. Man Baby Boomers were disgusted and disillusioned at what their country's leaders had forced them into. They became cynical and rebellious, seeing no "rightness" in what their country was doing. Rebellion, to them, became a crusade for doing what was right. But unfortunately, that rebellion spilled over into a lot of areas that they should not have rebelled against.
SHIRLEY, prayer was taken out of schools as a result of the boomer rebellion, it was not a cause. Then again, as the verb in the question is "attributed", and if it was meant literally, then your answer is correct. I just don't think that is what the questioner meant.

Baby Boomers are a bunch of incredibly spoiled brats that just want their own way. I know, because I am a baby boomer.
How I wish I had been born to another generation!

Uhh... taking prayer out of the schools? The general trend of that. Punishing people for having ethical and moral standards, as an official goal of the educational system.

Rise of the media? Television?

My father always said it was the Beatles because they were promoting love not war. The generation before them were often the ones who served in WW11 and were very proud of the service and contribution they made. Many people were serving in Vietnam, including my father, and these people were spit upon and treated like they were the bad guys.
