They already do it with additives, in our food, cigarettes, snack items. Then there are all the advertisements out there that tempt the person to try their products and get them "hooked". I my day you were served water before you ordered at a restaurant. Now you have to buy it. Water fountains have dissappeared, and companies now buy water coolers and bottled water.

Why go to all that expense and trouble to bioengeneer a "human" when there are cheaper more effective methods? After all there is such a thing as gene mutation, they could inadvertently change on you. It's too much money, bottom line is the dollar sign. Keep costs down, profits high.

I would certainly hope not. And I would say that phamecuetical companies pretty much already do this. So do tobacco companies, and alcohol companies. They dont do it exactly like you asking here but they do alter chemicals in people which leads to dependence and addiction.

You need quid pro quo for a workable business model for your "modest proposal". How about companies providing free fertility treatments (like in vitro or cloneing) to infertile parents agreeing to have their children engineered to be addicted to a drug they have to buy from the company?
