Before Easter Sunday, we have fish empanadas, pies with fish, shellfish and other ocean products.
There is no specific traditional food for Sunday, but "asado" (barbecue) is a popular idea.
What is indeed traditional is the Easter bread or "rosca de Pascua", a ring-shaped cake covered with sugar, fruits glacés and pastry cream.
The important thing is to have lots of delicious chocolate Easter eggs! These eggs are of 2 main types: some are made of darker chocolate with colored sugar decorations, while others (usually more expensive) have lighter chocolate (with more milk in it) and decorations made of white, mixed and brown chocolate.
I'm in Argentina :-)
Then of course you need liver pills, but it's only once a year!
Have a Happy Easter too!

I'm in Saskatchewan, Canada -- but we have a traditional Ukrainian Easter. Special foods are those that are blessed in the Easter basket the day before, each has special meanings and symbols - so two kinds of Easter breads, ham, sausage, butter, eggs, horseradish, cheese, etc. For the meal, I add cabbage rolls and potato salad.

Hello and Happy Easter!
I live in Venezuela and I come from a Russian/Polish/German family, so the traditions in my home are very mixed.
In Venezuela you are not suposed to eat any meat, so it is mostly fish. The most traditional dish is a codfish pie, but tuna salad, fried red snaper and fish chowder are some of the favorites. Among desserts, the most tipical one for these days is "arroz con leche" which is similar to rice puding, but creamier.
In my family we respect the abstinence. For these days we traditionaly cook a fish aspic, salmon in herb sauce and of course lots of salads and potatoes. On Estaer Sunday we have breakfast with Easter eggs, french bread, grilled white cheese, and other goodies.

Southern New York:-(Not in the city, around in the Catskills)
Honey Ham, Spiral Sliced by hand.
Sweet Potatoes, made with Pecans and Brown Sugar.
Egg Salad, of course!
Greens, Lettuce, etc. Served with homemade berry vinagretes.
Lots of sweets, cookies, pies (Berry), candies, and pucker-lemon-mommymac-pops.(I make them for the children, they are super sour, and they love them.
A homeful of happy children, and the presence of Jesus!
Have a Blessed Easter from Southern New York!

I am from New Jersey and my family doesn't really eat anything special. We just get together at a relative's house and spend time together and then go home and eat a normal dinner. My mom usually makes something more 'fancy' for Easter. Hope this helped.

Hard-boiled eggs, of course, decorated in some non-toxic fashion. Candy, especially those little marshmallow chicks, usually called "peeps," and sometimes bunnies as well. And hollow chocolate eggs which can be filled with other candies. My grandmother always gave us a hollow egg filled with Hershey kisses.
For the dinner, ham was the number one choice: a nice big ham that yielded ham sandwiches for the rest of the week.
This was in Pennsylvania when I was a child.

I'm Greek. Well here each easter we shewer a lamb traditionally, we eat boiled eggs (painted red of course without their outer part.) then we have salads like taramas to supplement the variety of food. (To be honest after a 40 days strict abstinence whatever you'll eat is pretty good!)
