Is gasoline our most commonly used energy resource?

Electricity would be more commonly used.

Only about 3% of that in the US is generated from petroleum, and around 50% comes from burning coal still.

I'd say oil is our most commonly used resource....

I would say electricity is probably the mose used. You use it 24hours a day.
