In case you cant tell those are vertical lines, but there isnt any choice on the keyboard for that so I had to use capital i's ...thanks for the help

absolute value of -6 is 6 and absolute value of 2 is 2

so.. -6 - 2
-6 + -2
= -8

it shoulf be minus eight or if you mean -(-6-2) it would be plus eight and thanks for telling me about the vertical lines because first i thought it is -1-61-121 which would equal -183


You can put absolute value line by pressing the shift key and the back slash at the same time.
I wonder who you will pick as best.......

Absolute value of -6 is 6
the Absolute value of 2 is -2

so.. -6 - 2
-6 + -2
= -8 final answer

When you remove the vertical bars from the equation and a negative (-) sign is between the two bars. It means - ( - 6) = 6

- 6 - 2 = - 8

the vetical lines are used to indicate that the absolute value of number in b/w them should be used. absolute value means you disregard the "sign" [+ or -]. so:
-I-6I - I2I = -6 -2 = 8
