Sometimes, it depends. Some of my friends are exceptionally shy, so I often try to push them to meet new people. I agree it doesn't always work out, but 90% of the time my friends at least make a new friend.

I love playing match maker!

no...everytime i've tried it's been a disaster. and anyone who has ever tried to set upa date for me has picked very incompatible people. i'm not saying there aren't good "matchmakers" or that set ups can't work, but in my personal experience, it's best to leave these things natural.

on the other hand, there's nothing wrong with inviting a group of friends out to dinner or a movie and "engineering" two people to sit together. :o)

I was recently set up on the worst blind date imaginable - our mutual friends could not have put together two people more unsuited to each other.

It was such a disaster we laughed ourselves silly.

But the next blind date ... *sigh*

Keep up the good work.

NO, No, no, 1000 times NO!
Every time I do that, two of the most wonderful guys in the world end up absolutely HATING each other.
Well maybe it isn't that extreme, but it's never good.

no, I tend to mind my own business when it comes to this kind of stuff...my friends are all able to get their own dates if they so choose. I see no reason to push people together...it can make everyone feel uncomfortable.
