Cleaning is supposed to be easier, but I'm uncircumcised and have never had a problem with that, since we take showers and all. You just slide the foreskin back and rub the head, which feels good and takes like five seconds. Never had an infection, either, or smegma. Smegma only grows if you don't shower for like a week; just like in females.
Perhaps in Africa where they lack hygiene its beneficial (like those AIDS/HIV claims) but here in developed nations, for example, the US has the highest circumcision rate (Europe/Latin America/Asia don't really circumcise) yet we have the highest HIV infections. Go figure. It's even true after you take all the drug-caused infections into effect; we're really off balance for some reason.
https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/rankorder/2155rank.html
New studies (as in 2007) have found (again) that it reduces sensitivity and some men report worse sex after having it done. The studies are listed here:
http://forums.govteen.com/showpost.php?p=3069995&postcount=2
It really depends on a case by case basis. So yeah, as you can see there are quite a few major disadvantages. The foreskin keeps the head moist so you can rub the head without the need of extra lubricants. Here's how the foreskin works, by the way:
http://www.cirp.org/pages/anat/
http://www.hachettebookgroupusa.com/books/70/0446678805/chapter_excerpt15690.html
Anyways, fewer parents are circumcising their boys now. It was almost universal in the US a few decades ago, now it's to as low as 14% in some states. States and doctors are discovering that the benefits don't outweigh the disadvantages.
http://www.cirp.org/library/statistics/USA/staterates2004/
Being uncircumcised you can always choose to get circumcised later; and since as an adult you can get put to sleep; the pain is nowhere as much as for infants:
http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/9712/23/circumcision.anesthetic/
http://www.pslgroup.com/dg/1f21e.htm
When erect a circumcised penis and an uncircumcised penis look pretty much the same since the foreskin slides back; and it slides up and down to stimulate the head during intercourse (gliding mechanism).
http://www.cirp.org/pages/anat/
So it depends. If it's medically necessary it may be beneficial; otherwise, not really.
As far as penile cancer goes, the American Cancer Society already said that circumcision does not prevent penile cancer. Heck, several nations in uncircumcised Europe have lower rates than us.
http://www.cancer.org/docroot/CRI/content/CRI_2_4_2X_Can_penile_cancer_be_prevented_35.asp
http://www.circumstitions.com/Cancer.html
Here in the US many people take circumcision as something with all benefits and don't research. There's a reason why we're the only advanced nation still doing this.

No, there is no medical organization that endorses circumcision on health grounds. The American Medical Association, the American Association of Pediatrics, the World Health Organization - all say that routine circumcision is unnecessary.
The only study that has found a health issue was published recently. That examined a group of men in Africa having unprotected sex with prostitutes. The uncircumcised men had a 50% higher chance of contracting HIV in that situation. However, if men use condoms, there is no difference in the risk.
Circumcision is not cleaner, does not prevent STDs, and does not affect the rate of penile cancer (which in any case is one of the rarest cancers).
All this information can be verified on medical websites.

Dr A,just what are you a doctor of,philosophy? The only thing a circumcision is good for is a doctors bank balance.it does nothing to the poor unfortunate whose parents agreed with agreedy doctor to allow their son to be mutilated. The so called facts that you put forward were discredited a long time ago.Even the recent finding that circumcised men in Africa had less incidences of HIV has now been successfully challenged.Recently circumcised men had a much higher incidence of HIV than those who chose to remain uncut. The only way to prevent HIV is abstinence and since that is not practical or feasible the next best thing is a condom.Stop spreading your half truths,It is going to lull people into a false sense of security and the possibility of death from AIDS for the people who mistakenly take you seriously.

Circumcision has certain medical benefits. It lower the risk of having urinary tract infections in babies and the elderly- the two stage of life when this disease is life-threatening. It's also associated with very low incidence of penile cancer and cervical cancer in women. Circumcised men also have lower risk of contracting HIV (up to 60% less chance!!) and other STDs. Circumcision also prevents phimosis and paraphimosis as well as infections of the foreskin such as balanitis and balanoposthitis.
The American Academy of Pediatrics acknowledges the existence of these benefits but says that the benefits aren't sufficient to recommend circumcision as a routine procedure. The risks are also minimal and include bleeding and infection, which are easily resolved. More serious complications like meatal stenosis are rare. Adhesions are a common effect of circumcision, but thy are easily preventable with vaseline use during healing and if they happen to occur, they release on their own in the vast majority of cases, not making this a "true" complication. Because of all this, circumcison remains the choice of the parents. Those who perceive these benefits as valuable choose to circumcise probably adding cultral and/or religious reasons to the medical benefits.
Some people view circumcision in a different light. They claim that it's damaging and it affects sexual performance, but these claims are yet unproven. Several studies have shown no effect of circumcision in sexual satisfaction and penile sensitivity.
As with pretty much everything, circumcision has pros and cons. Choosing not to circumcise also has pros and cons. It is up to the parents to learn these and choose what they think is best.

ADVANTAGES OF BEING INTACT:
--Circumcision cuts WAY down on sexual enjoyment for the man due to loss of nerve-rich foreskin. A new study proves conclusively, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that circumcision decreases sensitivity for the man. http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1464-410X.2006.06685.x
--Getting cut causes the glans (head) to develop a keratinized layer to protect from rubbing on clothing, further cutting sensation. Many cut men are unable to ejaculate during intercourse and have to finish "by hand." Intact men can "go all the way."
--nine out of ten women who have had both prefer intact penises: http://www.healthcentral.com/drdean/408/60750.html That's really pretty definitive.
--foreskin makes masturbation more fun - and better for your partner to play with.
--Circumcision hurts when it's done, even if you were too young to remember it
--a cut penis looks kind of sad with that scar where the foreskin belongs. Uncut is much hotter looking.
--Circumcision has a slight chance of complications. Each year a few baby boys have to have their entire penises amputated and undergo surgery to make them into fake girls. And a few die.
ADVANTAGES OF BEING CUT: Circumcision has no advantages that are not fictional or only relevant in a few areas
--You can be just as clean if you are uncircumcised. Wash. It's THAT simple. Even if you're cut, you still need to wash.
-- If you're sleeping around, you need to use condoms regardless or you will get diseases.
--Some studies have shown a lower rate of cancer of the penis in cut guys, but this cancer is so rare that it's hard to get a good statistical sample. More boys/men die each year from botched circumcisions than from cancer of the penis.
--Recent reports from Africa say that circumcision reduces the risk of AIDS from unprotected hetrosexual activity. This has little relevance to areas of the world where condoms are cheap, readily available, and culturally acceptable. The US has the highest circumcision rate in the developed world and also the highest AIDS rate in that group. http://www.circinfo.org/hiv.html

I wouldn't say that it is good for your health, unless you have an infection and need a circumcision. Honestly, there isn't much of a difference appearance wise when they are both erect. Apparently uncut guys have more feeling, but then apparently cut guys have a less chance of getting penile cancer and giving a women cervical cancer. So yeah whatever.

Male genital mutilation (or the euphemistic "circumcision", if you prefer), forever destroys the ability of a man or couple to have a normal sex life. Whether we speak of intercourse or masturbation, an intact penis is an essential part of natural sex.
Without an intact penis one can only "make-do".

Although circumsision is said to be cleaner, its just as easy keeping a uncircumsised penis clean!
and as for it reduces penile cancer(which is not yet fully proven),
its the same as someone saying "oh btw breast cancers are on the rise lets give all teenage girls mastectomies!"
the foreskin serves a purpose to protect the delicate and sensitive glands head! often when a penis is circumsised the head then become rough and has hard skin because of the constant rubbing on clothes.
Also having a circumsision can cause loss of feeling! a foreskin has MILLIONS of nerves in it!
When women say " i prefer cut men" they wouldn't say that if baby boys wern't done when born! its probably what their used to! But....it has been said a uncircumsised penis gives more pleasure(if thats true its not yet been proven!)
Many circumsisions are done without the baby having a local anesthitic!
To me that sounds barbaric!

Have you read the Yahoo News on Eritrea, Africa and circumcisions?
The health reasons have all been debunked.
The religious reasons that it reduces masturbation and is cleaner is a hoax.
That leaves the morbid addiction to mutilation by doctors.
The mental acknowledgment that you have and ugly red scar.
