why is there so much violence in the world? is it because thanks to the media, or there is another explanation

There's always been violence in the world. The human race is almost hard wired for "blood lust". It's not the media because, the Romans, Greeks, and Egyptians all staged elaborate violent games way before television. The Aztecs and Mayans had public human sacrafices, we are a violent animal, always have always will be. I come from a town in NJ were almost two hundred years ago we hung a man on the town square and made belts and wallets from his skin, the chief of police now still has one of the wallets. Our townsquare (called the Green) was a popular Saturday afternoon hangout back then to bring a picnic lunch and watch a public hanging like many places in America and Europe.
