theres not a civil war here that Im aware of (I live in the US). Maybe he meant the other United States of America.

The chance that time travel can be discovered by 2036 is, oh about the same as you winning the lottery 10 times in a row. The science is not even close, if it is possible to do it at all on the macroscopic level. To achieve it in the next 29 years is a huge leap of something. And then he managed to hide the civil war for 2 years?

I heard about this John Titor. Some say he went home and told his mother. I'm not sure if he got to meet himself while visting his mom.
Looks like the civil war started. We just need to get our hands on a few guns. I don't know which side I'm on. I think I want food instead of oil.

No civil war, the only one in the US was during the 1860s between the states who wanted slavery and those who didn't.
However there HAS been a uncivil discourse between the GOP and the Democrats since 2000 upon the election of the Bush Administration. The time traveller blew it.
