Goals statement for MA and credential in Deaf Education: specialization in Mulitple Disabilities?

I need to write a goals statement to be accepted into a masters and credential program at Gallaudet University. There are no guidelines, I just need to explain why I want to go to this school. Everything I write sounds so fake, "I want to go because it is the best school" "I want to go because I will learn the most" and the such is all that I can think of...any suggestions on what to add??

Something like: "..where else can I go to live within the Deaf culture? to be in the midst of the current-day issues surronding the Deaf cause and political climate important to the independence and promotion of the Deaf "voice"?"
"..where else can I emerse myself in the complexities of a rich language of ASL and be on the cutting edge of research and nationally renoun practices of teaching,?" I am passionate in my desire to learn ASL from native speakers and to bridge communication from hearing and Deaf worlds."
What's you sign ability? What do you want to DO with your degree after college???(good luck..I had a chance to go and didn't- regret it 30 yrs later!)
