'Bike ride'. Not really but move her feet around like she would on a bike. Just slow and smooth. If you sing a song she will actually enjoy it. It should help your average garden variety constipation.

Usually constipation when from different diet is almost instantly..certainly not as long as a month between.

Don't do Karo syrup, there's additives in it that aren't healthy for infants.

Some kids just end up constipated more often than not. The quick fix is to take her temperature rectally, this will stimulate her to go.

Long-term, she can have up to two ounces of juice up to twice a day. Try prune, grape, apple, pear, or cherry juice. Start with one ounce of juice mixed with one ounce of water once a day. If that doesn't help after two to three days, go to twice a day. Increase the amount as needed, but not more than one ounce per month of her age, and not more than twice a day.

You can also consider trying a low-iron formula, but don't go changing formulas all the time, you'll confuse her digestive system.

If it persists, she'll need to see the doctor, possibly a specialist.

I can help you.My daughter is 9 and we have FINALLY got her free from constipation. My daughter was so badly constipated even at your baby's age. What you can do is have her on her back, rotate her legslike she is on a bike, then massage her entire belly. She should have a bowel movement soon. Also the protein in the milk can be causing the constipation. Put her on a soy based formula.

My daughter is not allowed milk at all and she is no longer constipated. We tried everything and I finally realised it is the milk. it's not like lactose intolerant, with that you get explosive bowel movements.

If it is a protein allergy you get constipation. After all these years, numerous meds and dr's I figured out what the problem was after dr's couldn't!

All the best. Also, warm baths can loosen the bowels,if you give her juice apple and grape work.

When my daughter would get constipated I would put about a half a teaspoon of white karo syrup in her bottle. It always worked. When she got on baby food, I would feed her prunes and that helped every time.

Sugar water. But I would also ask the Dr about changing formulas if you think there is a connection

Try Gripe Water - you can get it at a health food store. You can also give her water with sugar in it. There are also Mylencon (SP?) that help with gas.
