Alright, then lets put the worst NBA team against the best WNBA and let's see who wins. Maybe then you would know who's better.

These guys bash the WNBA because they are ignorant.
They hate it because... maybe they have no skills... cannot relate to women in power...etc.
Or they feel that all female athletes should become sexual objects like Anna Kournikova or Danica Patrick, where the primary goal is to sell photo spreads on Maxim magazine, and winning a sport is not important.
This whole argument is based on the ability to slam dunk, and for a WNBA vs. NBA matchup.
Since when do NBA teams need to put on a slam dunk fest to win ? Most good NBA teams only dunk the ball 2 - 3 times a game. Alot of games are won based on driving layups, rebound putbacks, free throws, and 3-pointers.
And guys... if you look at the stat sheets, the team that makes the most free throws usually wins. It's the truth.
Yes, basketball is a physical contact sport, size does matter. NBA vs. WNBA ? Have you ever seen a fight between a heavyweight boxer and a lightweight boxer ? Of course not. They don't fight in the same division and the heavy weight will have an advantage.
This argument doesn't hold up, because it just doesn't make sense. And most of these guys who claim to be "basketball experts" have never gone to a WNBA game in person, and do not have a genuine appreciation for basketball.
For me, I like the thrill of competition, and excitement of a sports crowd.

The WNBA is a horrible product. They stick around because they are subsidised by the NBA. Your argument, by the way is confusing. Are you saying the L.A. Sparks could beat the Lakers? That is a bet that I would love to take. If people want to promote the WNBA, comparing it to the NBA is not a good idea.

It's not fair to generalize. You've just encountered the first batch which happened to be mostly jerks. If you'd be a little patient, who knows, good guys will be oozing into the next batch, sooner than you thought. When you least expect it. Don't dwell on the tragic past. they should put the womens olypic sprinters and long jumpers in the WNBA i saw marion jones on ESPN and she's pretty good at b-ball i guarentee she can DUNK

WAHHHH! I agree 100% with the first 2 answers. I'll bet ur like one of those femenists who think that women are better than men, and think that all men are sexist "pigs" and "bastards". Why don't u serve a tour of duty in Iraq or Afghanistan, then talk sweetie. And why do u think that men's basketball always gets higher ratings and fan attendance at games... it's not because women are better, i can sure as hell tell u that.

I do not know what your talking bout, I choose to watch NBA, cause I want to watch the best Atheletes in the world compete, and as far as I know the best talent in the world is in the NBA.
