Well, since she called to say she was late, but hadn't actually arrived yet (hence the call), then she's even later than she claims to be. At the same time, since you're not supposed to go out tonight, how could she be late to something that isn't going to happen?

It Means she's at the miniature baby store and she placed an order for 3 or 4 models.
Since there are so many customizing options she lost track of time.
The manufacturing work will be done by very tiny workers so delivery will be in 9 months...the babies will let you know when they are coming...no appointment needed.

Tell your wife what your girlfriend said, and ask her (your wife) what it means! Seriously though, I think you are bored and just made up the question for our entertainment. Nobody is that stupid - everyone knows what it means when a woman says she is "late." I also doubt that you are even married. But if you are, I pity your wife.
