I used to do this for a living....It is better to have a person spray it on, verses a machine..It will be more even and not splotchy...
Check to see what percentage of DHA is in their solution..(this is the stuff that makes you tan) If you are very fair, 8% is good...average 10%, and already really dark 12%
You want to exfoliate really well before hand, remove all the dead skin cells.... Only put a very small amount of lotion on dry areas..If an area is very dry, it will totally soak up the solution, making it a lot darker...(knuckles, heels, elbows)
If you are going off to a honeymoon right after, be prepared for fading... salt water, chlorine, sand will wear it right off...
Do not wash your hands right after the spray...wait a few hours, or they will be lighter than the rest...
After your first shower (do not take baths...the soaking will wear it off) make sure that you use a VERY good lotion w/ out an exfoliaters in it...
No makeup or lotions should be on your skin when you are being sprayed (w/ the exception of the very dry areas)
Make an appt. to have it done....then you can see how long it lasts and if you like it or not...
Some have a weird smell to them...others are odor free...
I would suggest having it done on a Thursday night if your wedding is on a Saturday, but definitely try it out well before the wedding!!!
Good luck!!

yeah! I loved mine. Lasted a good couple of weeks for me.

For one thing, it important that you have it done by a professional person, not a machine or a bottle. Know what you want to be wearing/in... i.e. in the nude, or what underwear to wear. Dont worry about the staining because the stuff will wash out in the laundry. I would also wear shorts and such, because you're seriously going to have to let it dry for about 8 hours, just so the color can set, if that makes sense. Plus it smells really nice :)

About it washing off, though: my tanner (i guess thats what you call them) said that it will wash off depending on how often you shower, and how much you exfoliate, etc. Typically the face will fade first, because you wash it more.

Also, and this is important: get it done at least 2 days before when you need to. That way you have the day for the color to dry, and a day to let any excess come off (yeah, you'll be a bit flaky for a while). If you're really worried about how it looks, get it done now-ish and see how you like it. If you don't, just rub it all off in the shower.

If it's an automated system, then I think they're pretty accurate. My friend went to a tanning salon once, and the technicians sprayed the tan on her, and it was a streaky mess! Just be careful where you go, and if you're not satisfied, complain...Also, leave enough time between your first visit and your wedding so that if you don't like the results, they will fade by the time your big day comes.

Yes they really do work. Before you go get one you should (just a word of advice) take a shower, and exfoliate your skin as best as you can. That way when the tan gets sprayed on it will be more even and look much better.

Spray on tans usually do give you a darker skin tone. However, they are not permanent. Some go on even, and others do not.
Be sure you read all of the warnings and instructions (if you're doing it yourself) or get all of the information (if you're having it professionally done).

Definately try one out now, don't wait till the week before your wedding. I know people who have given themselves Orange skin from DIY spray tans and lots of people who have gotten "streaky" color.

I agree with what 'Just Me' said. Get it done a while before your wedding to check it out. You'll be able to tell if that's what you really want and also tell if you want to go lighter or darker. When I had mine done, it worked very well, no streaks or anything, but I wish it was darker.

Yes, they do work, but if you have never done it before. ask someone who has. The trick is getting it one evenly. If you don't, you could look streaky or blotchy. Try in an inconspicuous place and see how you do.

Everybody gave good answers. I have something to add. You might want to get it done before you get married just to see if you like it. Then if it does streak or get messed up you will know not to do it. Good Luck !!!
