and why?

Political correctness! Holy scroats, holding a conversation is like negotiating a minefield lately! When the hell did Free Speech die, and why wasn't I invited to the funeral for a proper mourning? People seem excited over the propsect of being offended, and actively seek out situations where they will be in some way slighted. Have you heard about that group of imbeciles that complained about how they found a Christian cross offensive? Fine, I can handle that...but they were in a CHRISTIAN CHURCH!! Holy crap, can we PLEASE make murder legal for just an hour? One hour is all I ask...

And another thing...they're BLACK people, not African American, or People of Color, or Burnt Siena Individuals, or whatever the new term is. Charlize Theron is an African American, and she's white. I've seen black people in Britain before. Just use a term everyone understands--they're black people. We have white people, we have black people. Using a color to describe an ethnic group doesn't make that group bad or anything--it's just a term we all understand that applies to all members of that ethnic group regardless of what country they come from.

And don't even get me started on the whole "I did not inhale" crap. Of course you inhaled, you twit--it was weed, and it was like 20 years ago. Everyone smoked weed back then--just fess up to it and move on. Who cares? What's with this "oh, I smoked but didn't inhale" crap. He should have said "Yeah I smoked it, and got blazed out of my gourd. But I realized what a dark path that was and never smoked again." Even if it was a total lie, it would have sounded more truthful than "I did not inhale." Holy crap...see, you got me started? I warned you not to get me started, didn't I?

I'm sick and tired of being tired and not having time to do anything. At least it seems like that is the case.

People just seem to be accepting the phenomenal amount of corruption coming out of the Bush White House like it is just a matter of course. History is probably going to tear George Bush a new "orifice", but right now it seems like his administration is getting away with some blatant violations of decency - they even attack members of their own party if they don't kow tow to the prez. What they did to John McCain during the previous presidential primaries was disgraceful - they actually had the nerve to question his loyalty to the US Government after he spent years in a North Vietnamese prison camp!

Taxes, the IRS and Social Security. Every year I go through this. I handle my moms finances as well as my own. Mine is pretty simple and I'm able to use the short form for taxes. But mom's is a different story. She has to use the long form which every little itty bitty thing has to be calculated. Same with her S.S. every year I have to calculate where her earnings went. What a joke. Most of it goes right back to them!! Wish we could afford to get some one else to handle this mess.
