Hi everybody.

I have 1 goldfish in a 10 gallons tank and one live plant, is it better to change very little bit of water (about 5% of water) everyday or is it better to stick with weekly 25% of water change instead? Which way is better for the goldfish?

I would suggest the 25% weekly changes because that gives you enough volume of water to be able to properly clean the gravel. If you did only a very small daily change you would have a very hard time keeping the gravel clean.

Use a gravel vacuum every week to do 25% of the water change. 5% is better, but it's more of a hassle. I'd say 5% is better, but it might stress them out getting moved if you do it with a gravel vacuum.

Probably the weekly change to cause less stress for the fish. A change and disruption in his tank everyday wouldn't be the best thing to do. Hope this helps!!!

If you have good filtration (the big key here) you only need to do a monthly 25-50% water change. Just make sure you aren't over feeding.
