It's up for grabs. People say the Angels because of Vlad. He alone can't win a division by himself. That entire division is weak.

I think your safest, best bet is the Oakland Athletics.
Rich Harden is a bonafide ace, and looks healthy for the first time in a couple of years. The rotation behind him consists of Joe Blanton, Dan Haren, Chad Gaudin and Joe Kennedy... with Gaudin just keeping the spot warm for Esteban Loiza.
Their bulpen is super solid with Huston Street and Justin Duchscherer working late in games.
Offensively, they've got the weapons and a patient approach that should assure them more pop and offense than the Angels, and a pitching staff that's good enough to go toe to toe with Anaheim.
Kelvim Escobar and Joe Saunders really aren't very impressive, and there's no telling what the Angels can expect from Bartolo Colon, who's a year removed from major surgery, and not exactly a beacon of phsyical fitness.
And Gary Matthew, Jr. really wasn't the offensive piece of the puzzle that the Angels were lacking. Vlad Guerrero is all alone again.

If they stay healthy and barring any major slumps, my pick the LA Angels by a small margin. Oakland is still a threat. the Angels possess the best overall talent in the division especially if the pitching can stay healthy .

Your are just as well off picking them out of a hat. You have a 1 in 4 chance of being correct.
The Angels don't convince me that much.

The Oakland A's are already looking good this year since Rich Harden looks healthier than ever. He is one of the only AL pitchers who has a chance to dethrone Santana of his Cy Young status. Expect a great year for Harden and a breakout year for Dan Haren.

Everybody underestimates the Oakland A's. They are the reigning AL West champs, you know. They let that bum Barry Zito take his inconsistency across the bay and signed Shannon Stewart to fill in for the oft injured Mark Kotsay. If they can score the runs, their pitching staff can win the games.

Angels... hands down. Great pitching, pesky hitting, good coaching, and fast baserunners. This is a team that can also make plays in the field, and produce a lot of runs. Vlad Gurrero is one of the best hitters in the majors. I don't think that the A's, Rangers, or the Mariners can beat them out.
