i live in michigan, so im looking for a school in the state. I didnt do so good in highschool got a 2.7 gpa. SO i went to a community college and gota 4.0 gpa first semseter, and will most likely have a 3.4 or higher this semester. SO i will be looking at a 3.7 gpa after a year at a community college. I am also going into law. What schools should i apply for transfer to?

With your college grades, you have a shot at University of Michigan. You should apply there. If you get in -- you should go. It is one of the best public universities in the country.

If not there, Michigan State should be your second choice. You should pray that you don't have to go to your third choice -- because the quality drops off quickly.

I think Michigan State is a good university.

Also, I think you should look for a school that has a great undergrad program, then you can focus on the law schools.... b/c you never know. If you do really well in the program you choose, higher chance to get in or get scholarships to the law schools you are interested in.
