No. She actually abides by the Constitution -- you've just forgotten what that looks like because the traitors were in charge for such a long time.

Atoning for the lack of leadership and diplomacy. I for one am sick and tired of the high school clique mentality this president exhibits. The "I only talk to my friends" and not try to make new ones and then tells his "friends" who they should or should not talk to. Talk about high school.
Syria said they wanted to talk to Israel, Israel wanted to do the same. Pelosi tried to facilitate the start of dialogue.
Pelosi herself said she held no illusions of Syria changing its ways overnight BUT we have to have a starting point.
If Richard Nixon behaved the way this "brainiac" has, we probably still would not be speaking to China or Russia. Sheesh.
Edited for Sam Simeon:- It is obvious that you have forgotten your US civics and your US history! Pathetic!
We have SEPARATE BUT EQUAL branches of government. She made the trip because it was ONE of the MANY recommendations of the group the PRESIDENT commissioned or did you forget that. The Iraq Study Group which comprised of BOTH Democrats and Republicans, including the now Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, recommended starting dialogue with Syria and Iran.
I guess they are treasonous too.
Also what about the 3 REPUBLICANS, Virginia Republican Frank Wolf, Pennsylvania Republican Joe Pitts and Alabama Republican Robert Aderholt, who went to Syria last week prior to her trip. Are they treasonous too? By your hypocritical standards, NO because they are Republican, so they get a pass. Twit.

Nancy Pelosi represents Congress. Congress represents the American people.

Bush seems to think you should only talk to your friends. Funny but I can't think of one example in history where talking only to your friends and refusing to talk to your adversaries, ever produced a desirable result.

Bush is acting like the spoiled brat that he is. Nancy Pelosi is acting like a statesman.

She was trying to fill a vacuum of leadership and trying to defuse a dangerous situation. Syria's cooperation is needed to stabilize Iraq; refusing to talk to them is counterproductive.
