I think that the people in society are ignorant because they don't know otherwise. They are raised in homes which reflect on their behavior in the outside world. If your mother has taught you to be mean, why will you be nice when you bump into someone? I think that people are not as well educated and looked after in their homes as a few years ago. Many years ago, if you bumped into someone, you had to apologize and say good afternoon or good morning etc. But nowadays, if you do trip or something on the road, there's a bigger chance that they won't help you up or do anything to make you feel better. When you see this, just pick yourself up and walk along like nothing has happened.

With all the rejection of traditional values, people are getting rid of the thin veneer of civility in favor of something more natural. Problem is, we are naturally selfish, mean and small-minded. Civility is artificial, but we need it to get along with each other. Without it, we end up acting like barbarians.

That's rudeness, not ignorance.

People are ignorant because they are scared of the truth.(Ignorance is bliss)
