I am 16 male, turning 17 in 2 weeks, I am 5'9'' and am wondering if there is anyway without doctor you can tell if your body is still growing/developing.

As in any signs i can denote with the legs or shape of the body, because I am worried if I stopped or stunt my growth. since I haven't grown much since 5 months.

thank you.

No, there is no discernible way to tell if you are still growing. Give me a break! At 5'9" you are not stunted! Your height is predetermined by genetics. You can stunt it by improper diet but there is nothing you can do to be taller. (Yes, there is surgery where you can have your leg bones separated and plates put in to lengthen your bones but this is only done for those of severely less than normal height. It is also very painful with a long recovery period).

A male will continue to grow until age 21 so you aren't even finished growing yet. Keep in mind that normal growth occurs in spurts. You can go months or even a year and not grow at all and then suddenly "shoot up". But, be realistic, 5'9" is not short and you are not stunted so be happy with who you are.

There is one way, but it requires a doctor. They can x-ray your joints and see whether bone growth has stopped. Growth also goes in spurts so just because you have not grown in 5 months does not mean there won't be another spurt. But at 5'9", you are already above average so don't worry about it.
