See, I just got back from India and I can't tell if it's some kinda bug or something I was hiding form customs. But I'm kinda afraid to touch it and I don't want to spend a bunch of money for a doctor.

JIMINY CRICKET! Don't you know what that one little insect could do to an ecosystem that isn't prepared for it? This could mean the beginning of the end of Western Civilization as we know it! We should all run home NOW! Bundle our families into our arms, rapidly fabricate a hermetically sealed bomb shelter, and lock ourselves inside, armed with automatic weapons to destroy the horrible mutant kneebug/human hybrids sure to roam the prairies of this once great land!!
Or not.
You could just put it in an ashtray and burn it with the joint you're smoking. Probably just a tick, anyway.

Ya, I would be concerned. Get someone you trust to try to pull it out with tweezers, or spend the money on a doctor, or you could always go with the option of loosing your leg. It's up to you!

Put Windex on it and then GO TO THE DOCTOR!! Who knows what is. Spend the money for peace of mind. It's your health after all.
