it can, but its not necessary,,,,, some thought and knowing take time,,,,,, some occurs in the blink of a eye, a flash of insight,,,,,, though perhaps in some cases, some time was spent reflecting on the subject before the insight happened, but not always

The thought in its raw/crude/pure form is again just like a flash, the expression of it in manifest form (within self or outside self) requires time for formulating the most apt verbal expression.
Knowing is when the mind is still, just the perception, in a sort of flash !

Thought takes time. Knowing requires time to become or be expressed. Knowledge can be stored, but time is required for it to build up or be understood.

Yes, Thoughts require physiological processing time. Knowing, on the other hand, is anomalously "timeless".

its a good question but i don't really know what "knowing" is.
i believe everything is relative to time and nothing can happen instantaneously so yes thought does require time.

Though is a process, time is a reference with which we measure that process. though time has no relevance other than a reference, its the though that happened and the time that passed. Remember people, time does not exist, its an infusion we created for our convenience.
