articchick, I don't see myself on that list, yet you are condescending to me in my questions all of the time...and then offer no email to continue a debate. i would ask you, which oneof those people am I? Or did you forget to include me on that list?

I slam both major parties.
At any given moment I usually slam the one that is trying to do something to me.
I'm not a sexually active woman, nor a woman at all, nor am I gay, so usually it's the Dems that I'm slamming because usually it's the Dems that are trying to do something to me. Primarily this involves raising my taxes.
Maybe I don't slam the GOP enough - so here goes. STOP overspending, START fighting wars with BOMBS more than with INFANTRY and if you're not willing to fight it that way then don't fight them. And leave the homos alone. You don't have to like them - I don't - but they have a right to be what they want to be and to marry each other and to not be discriminated against.
Happy?

I think I am an equal opportunity slammer. But, if they are presenting a legitimate question, I never slam. Mostly, I just slam the extremists. They are the ones that give their party a bad name.

I have to admit that at times I've slammed the opposition, as well. However, I've really worked hard to become a more tolerant person. I think that we all need to realize that BOTH sides want what's best for the country and for the world. The problem is that we just have different ideas about what that is.

I slam the other party when their idiotic members call me white trash, trailer trash, a war monger, stupid, brain dead, etc.
I slam the idiots who call for all right-wingers to be deported, rounded up, killed, etc.
I slam the hypocritical morons who call the right a bunch of fascists, then try to silence those with opposing views. THAT is fascist.
I rip into anyone who is so short-sighted that they blame DECADES of piss-poor foreign relations on one person. I can remember the Middle East - Iran in particular - being a BIG problem during the Carter administration. I certainly don't think Bush is perfect and God knows he's made some MAJOR mistakes, but there is PLENTY of blame to go around regarding the Middle East. BOTH sides share a lot of blame.
I slam anyone who insults others yet can't seem to manage the spell check feature Yahoo so thoughtfully offers. I mean, come on! If you're going to complain about the stupidity of others, have your act together.
I slam anyone who is stupid enough to slam our military. Regardless of what one thinks of this particular war, it is thanks to our military that we all have the freedom and the right to sit behind a keyboard and talk smack. Anyone who isn't appreciative of the sacrifices that have been made on their behalf over the past 230+ years is *not* worthy of those freedoms.
I rip into people who whine that this war is all about oil - yet they are the same people who refuse to open ANWR for drilling, like the VAST majority of Alaskans want. It's ironic as hell to see people on here complaining that the government doesn't listen to the public, yet they insist they know more about how to handle Alaska's natural resources than we do.
I am very proud to be a conservative, and the more I'm exposed to the far left, the more conservative I become. I honestly see the left as the biggest threat to my country.

I don't feel a I slam a party, just individuals that bug me. And I do that behind their back, so it shouldn't count. LOL

No, people feel the need to slam other parties because they laugh at people who can't stand proudy ON THEIR OWN.
By associating with a political party you label yourself not only as an idiot but as a liberal or conservative.

Is this where you try to claim the high moral ground by claiming to be "independent?"
Did it ever occur to you that some of us actually believe our words, regardless of whether you see them as "slams?"
There is plenty of room for disagreement in my party. The only current requirement is that our people in Congress actually vote like our people.
