Well i would find a way to tell him without actually speaking....maybe buy matching outfits (unisex colors) and show them to him and say "i thought these would be great" and he'll probably make a comment on them being the exact same and that's when you can say something about it. Or get a cake with some sort of saying on it about twins....make it fun!! Or don't tell him and wait till your next visit and let him find out through the sonogram and if he doesn't get to go to that, show him the pictures from it and although he may not be able to read them well, i'm sure it will be noticable about there being two little ones in there.
Good luck and congrats.

Just tell him. I know that some people would say come up with some cute way of letting him know. But if this is the first pregnancy for you two, then he may already be overwhelmed!
Say something like, "Honey, I know you couldn't go to the appointment today, but I want to let you know that the baby is healthy, and even has a playmate...." LOL!
OR
Try, "Honey, at the appointment today, the doctor found 2 babies, and they both appear to be doing very well right now!"

Because you are taking the time to ask this question, you are probably wanting to do something creative. Maybe you can take him shopping with you, and start putting 2 of everything you buy into the shopping cart. It might make him question what you are doing, and then you can say "Well, if we are going to buy for one, we have to buy it for the other". Since you are not sure yet of the babies' sex, it will make it harder to pick things out, so buy neutral colors. Best of luck to you! You are blessed to be having twins!

My hubby was there when I found out it was twins. We told his mom by handing her a pack of Doublemint gum. All the girls in her office all started squealing, she didn't get it right away though, lol. We used the gum to tell most people. Other people we handed them the ultrasound and said, "look, here's a baby....and here's the OTHER baby." THe looks of astonishment were priceless. Good luck with the twins!!!

well, he already knows your pregnant so just sit him down somewhere and begin along the lines of ' i have more news to tell you" or something like that. sometimes its just hard to get things like this out but i'm pretty sure he'll be supportive. Then you two can go from there on dealing with the budget and buying for two instead of one. However you tell him about the two bundles of joy, just keep in mind that he's there to support you and you're his support as well. I'm pretty sure he'll feel slightly overwhelmed....but just talk to him and make sure you do that talking where you two cant be interupted......congrats and good luck

Congrats on the babies!!! Maybe get a couple of baby outfits and show them to him... tell him form now on you will have to buy everything "double"... So exciting!!!
I think if you wait until you have the ultrasound to tell him, he might not like the idea that you knew and didnt share the news with him, just a thought. Good luck!!!
