It is not likely. The egg is released around 14 days before your period begins. The egg is only good for about 24-48 hours and then your body prepares for it, along with your uterus lining to be disposed of. Sperm can live up to 5 days, but 5 days after then you would be on your period and not ovulating yet, so that shouldn't result in a pregnancy either. If you dont want to be pregnant please use protection, because there is always that small chance. but if you are trying for a baby, that is not the best time to try.

The best times to try are 5 days before you ovulate, to the day afterwards. That 7 days is your fertile time. There are ovulation predictor strips along with other ways to determne when you ovulate. If you have a regular period, then you most likely ovulate around 14 days beofre your period. I have a 31 day cycle, and ovulate on day 17.

It all depends on if you absolutely know you will get your period on time. If so, you cannot get pregnant 3-4 days before your period. You ovulated 14 days before your expected period. If you are a 28 day cycle, you will ovulate on day 14. If you are a 40 day cycle, you will ovulate on day 26. You are fertile a couple days before your ovulate and a few days after, do to the sperm being able to live for up to 5 days. Track your cycles and ovulation dates and you'll begin to tell the difference. Good luck!!

Everybody's cycle is different. It's VERY unlikely that you could get pregnant 2-3 days before your period. Usually ovulation is over by that time.

Ovulation is not that close to your period time...usually 14 days before your period starts...that is why when women are not regular it takes more time to conceive because of miscalculation of ovulation.
