If I had to pick between those two, I would take Russell as he has the higher upside and Quinn seams to have problems in the big games. However, it really doesn't matter with Oakland's offensive line. Quinn is too much of a statue, and Russell would spend the year running for his life from pass rushers. If oakland was smart they would trade down (with Cleveland or Tampa Bay) a couple of spots (to stockpile picks to help in other areas) and hope that Joe Thomas is still available, and then take the best offensive lineman available with their 2nd round pick also (look at how the Jets started to turn their franchise around last year with D'Brickshaw and Nick Mangold - boy, did Herman Edwards leave Eric Mangini a mess).
----Note: Has their ever been a super bowl team that had a bad offensive line? No, but Baltimore won the super bowl with at Trent Dilfer at QB and Tampa Bay won with Brad Johnson at QB.

Brady because they need a QB with accuracy, speed, and muscle. Russel has those things, but Brady has more of them. Brady is faster. And like you said, the Raiders offensive line SUCKS! So if the defense was to get through, they wouldn't be able to keep up with Brady's speed. But Russel, on the other hand, would be to slow. And taking him down wouldn't be a problem, this is the NFL. Don't under estimate the other linemen. I think if a player could take down Culpepper with his leg injury, than Russel would be nothing! Russal is also over weight and doesn't have the endurance to keep up in a NFL game. Plus, Brady can read the defense better.

they'll p.c.. Russel. additionally they'll make a mistake. some thing few human beings be attentive to approximately Quinn is his decision making skills. He threw very few interceptions final year at ND. another professional Quinn traits: He performed in nationwide Televised video games a week He performed for the main historic college team He had no working interest and no o-line (he became continuously below rigidity) Quinn would be the protoypical QB and would have a much extra applicable profession then Russel.

I'd take Quinn. He's better conditioned, more experienced and has a better grasp of NFL offenses. Russel needs to become better conditioned. He seems lazy at times. Yes the Raider's OL stinks. But they can improve it over time. Whoever they take they should put a vet in there so either one of them will have someone to learn from. Maybe David Carr? Kurt Warner?

They should choose Russell, I really liked Quinn at Notre Dame but he is not going to be a good NFL QB. Quinn is not that good under pressure, he is not a big gae QB, and he lacks mobility. Russell is a better fit because he can move under pressure, he has a better arm, and I think he will fit the system better.

Joe Thomas would probably be there best pick. With a rotten O-Line it doesn't matter who the quarterback is, ask David Carr. It doesn't matter how far you can throw it if your on your back most of the game. Add 2-3 O-Linemen and by the end of the season they should be pretty good. Look at Green Bay's O-Line last year.

Neither. Both come filled with question marks. Quinn has been a solid QB through out his career at Notre Dame. But has really proven himself in big games. Russell is reminds me too much of Akili Smith. No one knew about him until the final games of the season so now all of a sudden his a great QB. Does not convince me. Sorry. I would trade Randy Moss to the Packers for their Aaron Rogers and a 3rd rounder as well. Pick up Calvin Johnson and make Aaron Rogers your future QB. They could do the same with the Patriots if they traded Moss for Matt Cassel.

JaMarcus Russell all the way. He's a quarterback big enough to play linebacker or defensive end (he'll be asked to play both lol), so the sucky offensive line wont matter much because he has mobility and is hard to bring down. Russell all day long. Screw Quinn he sucks
