We went bowling last night, and I got a bit tipsy (NOT drunk!) and was having fun. Whenever I rolled a strike, I did a little dance, nothing major....but my boyfriend got all pissy and told me to stop it. I told him to grow up and stop being so critical of me, which of course started a stupid, pointless argument.
This morning, he called me from work and was going ON and ON about it, and I just told him calmly that I was sorry if I offended him, and that we needed to turn the page and go on with our lives, as this was not a life or death issue.
Why can't he just accept my apology (which I honestly don't think I owe him, except that I'm trying to be a peacemaker) and let this stupid thing go?

When I bowl with my friends, when someone bowls a strike, the guys get flashed by the girls, and the same for us. We're trying to figure out what to do for a turkey (3strikes)

seriously i am a very outgoing person and when i get a strike i just get exited never mind a little dance, i hoop and hallar it up and jump up and down and do a BIG GIRL DANCE LOL
that is me and if someone didn't like it TOO DAMN BAD
that is what i do for a freeken strike once in 20 games good for me ( and that's without tipsy )
tell him to just grow the hell up we are all human do stupid little things and if that is your tipsy strike dance then DAMNIT

he seems like he does not understand he likes you for you well we are made up of all little parts to make a entire person

Seems like he just needs to have an argument at this point in time, and this is what he chose to argue over. Sometimes we feel the "need" to argue. Tell him if he is going to pick arguments over petty little things like this, then you don't need him in your life - this is who you are - and there's nothing wrong with it.

Maybe I can tell you why he won't let it go! You've already made excuses for your behavior and chalked it up to feeling a bit too good from what you were drinking. My guess is that he doesn't think your apology is real or perhaps he's seen this type of behavior from you before. It's also possible that he believes you're sloughing this off a bit too lightly and making excuses for the behavior. Since everyone else is calling him an asshole...I thought I'd try to tell you what his reasoning might be! It's really only the two of you who know one another well enough to arrive at the real answer.
