I tend to think it is a child development issue.
Some people never grow up emotionally.
Some people just find what they are good at and feel comfortable with. Then they run with it.
Social circles are hard things to navigate. I'll wager that many of those trolls who post here don't have much of a social circle, and that those who do tend to share much of the same world view, with tiny variations.
I don't pity folks who refuse to open their own eyes and see that the sky is blue and the Earth orbits the Sun.

I believe that "being angry" is a sign of the times and it is a fire that is fanned by the neocons and the ultra-left. I look back to the first election that I remember well, 1960, and I can see the way hate and smear campaigns have increased into an out of control process and will only continue getting worse. This nation is being undermined and split into two similar to the shite and sunni split in Iraq.
Don't know if the trend will ever end but when administrations such as the one we have now continues to spread hate and uses Religion as it's shield things will never get better.

You would be angry to if you lived under a bridge and was so ugly...lol...
I hate to bust Da Mans, I feel weird just saying that, bubble...there are just as many Liberal trolls on here as there are Conservative...I think many of the ones on either side are just trying to get some sort of attention...maybe their parents should have showed them more...I bet we can not go through a day without someone saying Libtard or Repugnacans or something of the sort..do you?

I think so. They yell and cuss and call everyone else names. When they get accounts removed they just come back with a different name, but the same personality.
It is sad really. The fact that these people don't have the guts to actually discuss issues. Instead they banter until nobody wants to listen anymore. Just like that guy $mitty above me. He obviously isn't brave enough to say that to someone in person, so he comes here and suddenly he's the bravest man in the world.

Seeing as how Yahoo took away the forums associated with the news stories, where else were the trolls supposed to go?

I don't know how you are defining "troll," but I haven't seen a whole lot of mirth on this site, in general. I can come here in a great mood and get worked up fairly quickly, myself.

They are more to be pity than scorned. Lonely. Invisible lives they lead. This is their 15 lines of fame! They feel helpless to make a difference, so they just bash any and everyone to feel better. "Misery loves company." It just shows us how many unhappy people there are out there.
