This is a great quote and so true! Funny when you think about how many things have become acceptable to our society today that just 30 or 40 years ago would have been taboo or looked down upon. Our world and the way we view things is always changing, but the bottom line is that right and wrong always stay the same basically.

Not exactly. Society itself, has a set of rules that the majority set. But right and wrong depends upon the individual. To some, it may be perfectly alright to lie; while to others, its never alright.

At times, the individual's views give way to society's views; and vice versa.

It basically comes down to a society is made up of singular minds that decide what is right and wrong for themselves.

Like much in this life, its subjective.

What if not society makes something wright or wrong? Don't you think your definitions are created by the world in which you have been raised. If you know nothing more than your own world, how can you judge another whom grew up in a different time, place, or culture.

Now I'm not all about the total moral relativism, but we have to acknowledge that our own moral sense is not infallible.

Yes, what society views as accpetable does change ie slavery. Therefore what's right and wrong does actually change, and in the end right and wrong are relative terms. Remenber one man's terrorist is another mans freddom fighter. (nelson mandela)

Absolutely correct. We (especially in America) tend to be "sheeple" and go for the political, economic, spiritual and cultural flavor of the week. There is little disregard for, what some people considered to be, the archaic concepts of right and wrong.

in some ways that is very true, although as to specific actions, i think right/wrong can so depend on circumstances surrounding the situation

Your thinking with a group mentality... alternatively I think there is nothing wrong with doing drugs... many people will disagree.
