I have some baskets to give the kids, and then I'm going to make a scrumptious dinner for the extended family. Tonight my little son and I will make mini-cupcakes and decorate them to bring to work and school tomorrow. We've already dyed our eggs. So fun!

Tomorrow(Good Friday), I am heading into Greek town to buy the Easter Bread(Choureki). It is yummy, yummy.
On Saturday night, around 11:30pm, we are going to head to church for what is called the Anastasi(which is the Resurrection). The entire congregation stands outside of the church with candles, and at midnight, the candles are lit, and it is a beautiful sight.. in the darkness with hundreds of candles.
Then on Sunday, the kids are going to hunt for Easter eggs, load up on chocolate, and veg out.

I do not pay attention to when it is, for I am not religious. It is on Sunday I seem to recall, but the date varies each year. When I was a child, Mom sent me to church regularly. I saw that some people only came to church on Easter to display new clothing. I just bought two new suits. Er..when is Easter?

I'm going to go to church, which is exciting because every year for Easter instead of the normal service, they put on this huge play. They work on it for months, so it's pretty great. The Nicodemus Account is what it's called.
And during the day they put on Eggstravaganza, which is always tons of fun. Great fellowship and food.

Wake up with the kids and let them see their easter baskets. Then we go to church and then family is coming here for easter dinner!

This Easter in the Virgin Islands we go to church and to the beach. The Government gives us a three days holliday.
