First, never leave the baby or child alone for any length of time. I have been a professional nanny for 8 years and a caregiver for 20 years. I am sending you a link that I hope you will read. Also, if at all possible, take a CPR and first aid course. This will greatly help you in case of an emergency, and believe when I tell you, they do happen from time to time.

How old is your cousin? Different ages need different things.
Just remember to get phone numbers for in case of an emergency, and maybe ask a neighbour if you get overwhelmed if you can go over and ask for help.
Good luck!

How old are you and how old is your cousin, that would help a great deal. For the most part your parents and his/her parents should be sure you know what you're doing before being left alone with him/her

Depends on the age of the kid. Just be attentive and keep him entertained. Change his diapers regularly (if needed). Ask mom what kind of schedule he is on. Is he old enough to say what he wants and needs? Really need more details.

You just have to keep a close eye on your cousin and make sure he keeps away from any hazards. Also play with your cousin.
