I def agree with you when you say he's not a good singer and looks weird.
This whole show is turning into one big joke. How many more talented people will leave before his sorry a** get voted off. I'm really starting to dislike him bc he knows he doesn't belong on the show at this point. He cannot compete with the rest of the finalist.
America send this clown home.

It's not about the kids on the show...it's about idiots like Howard Stern out to sabatoge the show because they have their ridiculous followers who would actually PAY to listen to that moron...so the wee bit of power they have they turn on destroying something that the majority of the American/Canadian public enjoy....for no reason other than that they can.
This is what little school bullies grow up to be when they have the (mis)fortune to gain a following.
The real suckers are the idiots who go along and do the bidding because obviously they have nothing better to do with their time but to sabatoge one another--then they ask why is a little no-talent allowed to stay on a talent show.
It's because tv-land and the media has given even NO-TALENT a place in this world...after all a no-talent audience fares better rooting for a no-talent idol right?
It somehow validates thier own inadequacies.

I totally agree with you. Howard Stern has his listeners voting for Sanjaya because Simon Cowell said if Sanjaya won he'd leave American Idol, there is a website called votefortheworse.com and they are supporting Sanjaya, they are supposed to be an anti-Idol website if they are anti-Idol why are they encouraging their viewers to watch the show and vote, then the fact that he is from Seattle and he does have a following from there. Those are the reasons he's still on the show.

Everyone wants their 15 minutes of fame which is why more and more untalented so called singers are making their way to American Idol. Just being seen on that show prolongs their stay in stardom. Personally I don't watch the show anymore because contestants are being chosen based on the size of their fanbase at home not their skills and this Sanjaya? character has plenty of them from what I read.

He knows people don't like him but he also knows that, with the way things are going, he has a chance of winning. He's obviously very selfish if he won't give the others a chance. Sanjaya winning American Idol would be the saddest day in American History, let's pray that doesn't happen.

If the Evil Mangler of Music known as Sanjaya Malakar were older I might be able to believe he was cheesing it up ironically. I might have thought “Self, he’s got to know how bad he is, he’s just enjoying his time until his inevitable elimination.” But I don’t believe that for one second. He’s 17 years old, 17 year olds are generally incapable of irony. You kind have to rid yourself of the notion of invincibility to convincingly pull off irony. This kid actually thinks the public loves him. When he commented to Simon Cowell “Welcome to Sanjaya’s Universe” I wanted to jump in my car and drive the 400 miles to the studio the production is in and…well my plan didn’t get much farther than that as it is generally believed that Beelzebub is immortal and I’m pretty sure Sanjaya comes from Hell itself to send out audible, though awful sounding signals that signal we have started the Apocalypse. There just isn’t any logic to this tone deaf, Michael Jackson emulating, so creepy he seems like the quiet kid who grows up to be a cannibal remaining on the show.

Oh excuse me, not JUST remaining on the show, but not even falling in the bottom three. People, I can’t take that smug look on his face for another week. I am so leaving the room next week when Satan’s Apprentice takes the stage. Its one thing to disrespect Gwen Stefani, but to mangle a beloved song by the beloved American Icon Tony Bennett should ensure his spot in hell. Enjoy it Sanjaya, I hear it’s hot down there.
So no Sanjaya in the bottom three. This week I can actually say I am not surprised due to my newfound belief that he’s going to be until we lose a really excellent, talented, modest, deserving contestant like LaKisha Jones or Jordin Sparks while Sanjaya remains grinning like the Cheshire cat as he planned to off Alice.
Sanjaya
Yes folks, I’ve given up. So go ahead and keep voting for the man most likely to become a Mentos spokesman. I just don’t care anymore.

He was no where close to the level of singer that any of the other top 12 contestants were....I never despised him but its frustrating to someone with ears when very good contestants are eliminated before someone who has no business being on that stage. It was very frustrating to those of us who realize that American Idol is a singing competition with a life changing record contract attached to it and not a popularity contest or a joke. Some people (for instance Lakisha) are looking for this show to make their lives better....make it so they don't have to struggle anymore.

Sanjaya does have talent. If an expert like Tony Bennett thinks he does must tell you something. It takes more than Singing ability to become a real Idol.

But why would he leave? Look at all the attention he's getting! I think its a total outrage that this is happening especially when he admits he can't sing but what do you do? Actual talents are getting voted off & he doesn't even make the bottom 3! Then look at all the press he gets & how everyone talks about him. Its the best thing he could do to stay. The rest of us need to band together & vote him off. Its the only way to make it stop. I voted for everyone but him the other night & we see what good that did!

I think it's very selfish of him to not drop out of the competition because he knows he's not as good as the others, and his still being there has made a lot of much better singers leave.
He knows it's a joke that he's still there, as do the judges. If he were smart, he'd just leave. He's getting the fame only because he's bad. How could anybody like that?
