I hate the habit - it's dirty, makes him deal with drug dealers, and he turns really 'slow' afterwards, and silly - I just want my bf back!!

well if he loves you and its serious, talk to him about it. Maybe there could be a comprimise. You dont want to nag and tell him what to do, but he also needs to respect your concerns and be willing to work with you on this!

first, pot does NOT alway lead to heavier drugs. all you can do is ask him to quit. If you Love him, dont leave him. Talk about alternatives to smoking. I would rather have a boyfreind that smokes a little pot once in a while over a drinker any day.

Well, your boyfriend could be on crack. He wouldn't be slow and but he wouldn't be to good in bed. In life your going to learn to love weed because its always good to have a pot head boyfriend then an alcoholic one(they beat you). Pot heads are just happy people, and just tell your boyfriend to buy from hippes(they have better pot anyway). Also pot protects your boyfriend from cancerous tumors in the brain (http://www.webmd.com/cancer/news/20040815/marijuana-stall-brain-tumor-growth) So be happy about the pot and just tell him to only toke when he is not going to be around you. Oh and by the way he will choose weed over you!!!! Weed came before you did and it will stay a lot longer.

He will have the consequences of smoking pot for the rest of his life. He will be mentally slow and depressive. Are you really determined to live your life with that kind of situation? Having a normal life is challenging, now imagine when you have to live it with problems that you didn´t even create!!!

Try to persuade him to do it a bit less, like one or two nights a week. Perhaps suggest doing some activities with him out of the house a few nights a week. Maybe rock-wall climbing, swiming or eating out, cinema or something? Try not to just demand that he quits, this may make him more secretive about it and he will need your support to totally give it up.

Well.... If this is somthing he is in a habbit of you will not be able to get him to do anything. You cannot change someone, they need to want to change themselves. If this is somthing that he cannot fix on his own then maybe its time to start dating someone else. Explain to him why you are leaving him, and don't give him another chance unless he steps up and takes care of exactly what he needs to.- good luck

Dump him very quickly!!! Usually pot smokers after a while, upgrade themselves in the use of heavier drugs, you don't need such a man if you are hoping one day to have a normal and decent family!

Your best leverage is to stop seeing him unless he quits smoking the pot. Maybe he quits and maybe he can't. Regardless, I think this issue is a deal breaker. If he can't quit, will you still want him around? Were I in your situation, I wouldn't want his pot problem inflicted upon me.

Unfortunetly, you can't change someone who isn't willing to work to change themselves. Your best bet is to talk to him-let him know that you don't like the situation and that if it continues, you can't be a part of it anymore. If he choses drugs over you, you'll be so much better off without him in the long run! Best of luck!

If you dont want it in your life you need to decide how much he means to you. Let him know its a problem and you want him to get help or you are walking. If it doesnt change now it never will. If he chooses the pot over you, you dont need him.
