I love Easter ! Not only is it a great day to praise our Lord who died for our sins and rose again, it is so much fun to be with our family and eat the goodies.
I also enjoy making it special for my daughter, I love to see the exitement when she wakes up and sees her basket with goodies and then hunts eggs.

I do like the Easter holiday, it is a beautiful symbolism of new life...springtime, and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Since I have been a child, and while growing up, it has taken on the other symbolisms of commercialism you see in many stores... The bunnies, chicks, eggs, etc.. and has also been a way to get more "gifts" for children! I have always wondered how that works, why it is that Easter promotes more gift giving
but we still do it! Now that most of my children have grown up and gone,(I only have two teens at home) I wonder what it will be like now... not as much fun, so maybe we could focus more on the spiritual nature or meaning of the holiday! That would be nicer for me than cleaning up easter egg dyes and broken eggs in the yard!

I am a Catholic and Easter is not only fun but a celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are joy full of this event because it is the fulfillment of the prophecy and eagerly await the Lord's second coming

It will be this year!
My husband does things over and over again that annoy me to no end, which have been discussed already. He says he'll work on it, but I see no changes.
I want to plan an "Easter egg scavenger hunt" for him - I will start off with his favorite candies ... then I will lead him to the annoying things he does, such as stinky socks lying around the house, crumbs on the couch, leaving garbage in the sink, empty beer cans all over the house, hideous stinky slippers and old clothes that he HOARDS ... do you think this will get my point across?

It would be a much better holiday if we received some time off from work for it. Since we don't, it's way down on the list of favorite holidays.
