You are right. There are way to many great artists and so many flavors of jazz to pigeon hole "One Greatest" Because of the variety and individual tastes, Let's just say, Jazz is Great! and leave it at that. P.S. my all time Jazz musician is Grover Washington Jr. God Bless Him.
